First areas to get super-fast service named
Following the official announcement that Virgin Media would be rolling out 100Mb broadband in October, Virgin Media has now named the first areas to get the new super fast connection.
As well as the 100Mb download speeds, the service will offer upload speeds of 10Mb - meaning sharing videos of those precious moments of you and your loved ones, with the entire world, has never been easier.
The areas benefiting from the service are:
Heckmondwike
Farnborough
Colchester
Barry, S Wales
Virgin Media states that: "a typical family will be able to get the new ultrafast service for as little as ?35 a month when bought with a phone line, or just ?45 per month when bought as a sole product".
More places will be added throughout 2011 and up to mid-2012 when it is hoped that the roll-out will be completed. If you're interested in the service you can pre-register your interest at www.virginmedia.com/100.
