Cloud-based computer gets UK launch
It's a couple of days later than initial reports suggested, but the Jolibook from Jolicloud is now available here in Britain.
The cloud-based, OS-powered netbook boasts some fairly standard netbook hardware on board, but is clearly designed for young social networkers, with instant access to Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Spotify, Flickr and the like, as well as a rather funky (but kiddy) looking design.
Packed in to the 10.1-inch, WSVGA, Jolibook you'll find a dual core Intel Atom N550 (1.50GHz) processor, with an Intel GMA 3150 video chipset, 1GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard drive.
You'll get up to 7 hours life with the 6-cell battery, and connectivity via b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, three USB ports, an 8-in-1 card reader, and a 0.3-megapixel webcam with accompanying mic.
It measures in at 266 x 185 x 18.5 - 25.4mm, and weighs around 1.35kg.
The Jolibook, featuring Jolicloud 1.1, is out now and available from Vye priced at ?279.99.
